Costa Rica Foundation for Sustainable Development

Support during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The Costa Rica Foundation for Sustainable Development contributed to the fight against COVID-19.

In May 2020, the Costa Rica Foundation for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with Grupo Tojoy, made a significant contribution to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of its commitment to the health and well-being of the Costa Rican population, the Foundation donated one thousand surgical masks to the Max Peralta Hospital of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), one of the country's main healthcare centers.

This donation was intended to reinforce the hospital's resources at a critical moment during the pandemic, providing protection for both healthcare personnel and patients. The surgical masks served as a vital resource in preventing the spread of the virus, especially in medical centers where there was a growing demand for personal protective equipment.

The Foundation, fully aware of the enormous challenges presented by the health emergency, joined forces with Grupo Tojoy to actively help mitigate the effects of the pandemic, thereby demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development and the protection of public health.
